I disagree with you. utilizing nuclear energy is clean without emission of harmful gases. Therefore, energy obtained from nuclear reactions is much more superior to fossil fuels that have been dominated in the world. Furthermore, another remarked advantage of nuclear energy is its capacity of creating a massive amount of energy from only a very little bit of chemical substances. This feature becomes valuable when natural resources is getting exhausted. This nuclear technology can be served as a defensive weapon in times of war as the nuclear weapons are weapons of destruction. Mankind accidents can be prevented. Leaks from nuclear plants that will bring harm to the residents living near are all Man's fault. All this can be prevented from happening if we humans take preventive measures to stop this from happening. Measures like forbidding residents from living near the nuclear plant area can also be taken. These will prevent harm to the people if they are not allowed to live near there. With regards to the incident in Scotland, if those unhappy citizens feel that they are being treated unfairly due to the exposure to radioactive material, they should have brought it up peacefully and maybe the government would have implemented a policy or plan to have those residents living near to move to another place using some monetary compensation. All over the world, nuclear technology is being used by number of countries. Nuclear technology have alot of advantages such as little amount of carbon emissions and thus contribution to global warming is reduced. This benefit also allow humans to be able to generate a high amount of electrical energy from a single plant. Hence, I would like to rebut against that nuclear technology have advantages that overpower the disadvantages like damages to environmental and human health as they can be prevented by measures taken by humans. Thus, i disagree that technology is more of a bane than a boon to society.

Yes, I do agree that technology is more of a boon than a bane to society.Technology has evolved over the years and revolutionized our lives. There are many types of technology like information technology, biotechnology and medical technology. One of the most influential technologies is medical technology.

Medical technology is the application of science and technology to improve the management of health conditions. It has contributed greatly to the society as it can save lives and increase chances for patients to survive their ordeal. Technology in the medical field has allowed individuals with chronic illness to have productive and healthier lives. These individuals can now lead independent lives without any need for physical, emotional and financial support. Advanced medical aids also enables patients to continue recovery at home reducing their hospital stay and at the same time saving money on hospital bills.

An example of medical technology that has benefited lives is the treatment for of cardiovascular disease, the use of coronary stents - artificial tubes used in cases of coronary heart disease to keep the arteries open – have halved the number of those dying from heart attacks or suffering from heart failure. Patients with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) – a small device implanted for those at risk of sudden cardiac death – now have a 98% chance of surviving a cardiac arrest, compared to only 5% without the implantable device. In addition, the minimally-invasive surgical techniques which are now used to treat aneurysms can mean a recovery time of around four weeks, compared to over a year for older procedures.

Hence, all in all, medical technology plays a vital role in allowing people to remain valuable and contributing members of the society. Thus i shall end off by reiterating my stand that technology is more of a boon than a bane to society.

Firstly, I agree that technology is more of a boon than a bane since technology makes everything convenient, quicker and even more efficient cutting working time.

Imagine that if without the help of technology we could not make use of the efficiency of mobile phones and computer. Imagine having the need to send letters to people from overseas. How long it would take, whereas we could easily send an email with just a click and some finger-work in minutes, or even seconds.

What happens if you need to contact someone urgently and you do not have a mobile phone or computer? Almost 60% of the world population from a recent survey, says that they could not live without mobile phones which is a fact in this modern world. This show the independence of technology our generation have. Although technology may have some bane, it's much less significant towards the boon.

Thus i conclude that technology serves more than just benefits but also an advantage that we all need.
